Samaritan’s Purse!!

We are a month and a half into the race and just got back from Samaritan’s Purse!! We have been in Louisiana for the past 2 weeks doing hurricane relief. We’ve worked with fallen trees, LOTs of mold, ants and spiders, chainsaws & lots of rotten refrigerators. We’ve also come in contact with homeowners that carry so much hope and joy in the midst of it all. We have experienced salvations and spiritual revival. We’ve seen the Lord work in the littlest ways like sustaining us throughout the day or providing situations for so much laughter, and we’ve seen Him work in big ways as He has created so many divine appointments for us to step into. We’ve gotten to minister to homeowners, to people in Walmart and even the people on our team. It’s been sweet to partner with Samaritan’s Purse and watch the impact that they have all over the world!

At the beginning of this week we worked at a house that had about 3 feet of standing water after Hurricane Ida hit back in August. The house has been sitting and untouched since the storm. We were asked to clear out all belongings and strip the floors and walls of mold. It was incredibly devastating to pile all their belongings into trash bags and clear their furniture out to the road to be trashed. Our team was there for about 3 days and it was some of the hardest physical work I have ever done. We persevered through breathtaking rotten smells, mice nests, swarming bees & countless mold infested walls that needed to be torn down. Through it all we saw the Lord move in so many ways! The homeowner ended up receiving Jesus as her Savior and we were able to make incredible connection with the family. The Lord works in it all. He’s so kind to use us and show us more of Himself through the mundane things.

THIS IS THE CREW!

Our time in Louisiana was full of so many good days and really hard days! We came home some days with sore backs and covered in mud, but it was so crazy to see the strength and joy of the Lord radiate from us. The Lord is doing big things in the areas that we live, our own country and it was incredible to partner in that all the way in Louisiana!!

We head to Guatemala in a day!! I am so excited, it has been a dream of mine to go back there. Pray over us as we travel on Friday morning!

Introduction to my co-team leaders!

Also, this blog is a little all over the place, but I wanted to end with a picture of them!

Layna! She is FULL of sunshine. She honors people so well and speaks truth always!

Morgan! A sweet friend! She loves people with all she has and walks in so much obedience and reverence to the Lord. And let me tell ya, she’s FUNNY!

Kenzi! Walks in so much wisdom and carries a gentle authority as she leads her women.

Emma! She carries so much joy and steadiness. She walks in so much creativity and worship in everything that she does.

Clayton! He carries so much influence and everywhere he walks unity follows!

Hannah! (she is our big dog squad leader) She leads in so much freedom and the Lord has gifted her with so much capacity to lead this squad.

I have been blessed to lead with this team, an answer to prayer to say the least. Pray for us as we lead this squad in this transition to Guatemala!

Cheers,

Anna
