First of all, I am fully funded!! Thank you so so much for all the financial support, it was above and beyond.

We are in Jefferies Bay, South Africa! WHAT!!! We have been here for about a month. Our travel days from Guatemala went from LA to Newark to Johannesburg to port Elizabeth and then a 2 hour drive to where we are staying now in Jefferies Bay. It has been a wild month starting out here after a 4 day travel day and jet lag from about a 9 hour time difference. We have also had some covid scares and quarantines already, but we are currently all healthy!

We are loving being so close to the ocean and taking advantage of being in the surf capital (learning to surf!! and all the things). We met Bruce Gold, a legend if you know who i’m talking about. Go look him up, his documentary is on Vimeo haha.

We are based here on a elementary and high school campus that is run by this ministry called GLOBAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY. Hannah (my co-leader and I live in the 7th grade classroom, it’s definitely a bit chaotic at times.)

Our ministry throughout the squad has been incredible across the Board. We have teams working with private schools throughout Jefferies Bay, a team working in a workshop and garden that supports families that have children with serval palsies, the guys are helping build the next wing of the school, and we have teams involved in a after school program where they have the privilege of teaching music, dance and academics. It has been incredible to just get involved with what the Lord is doing here!

We have also been given the opportunity to study Veritas biblical studies. it is a 44 hour class of diving deep into the letters and learning what it looks like to properly study and what it looks like to be equipped to know how to share the Gospel through proper analysis solely studying scripture.

In about 3 weeks we are having Parent Vision Trip here in South Africa, which means that most racers have invited their parents to come for a week on the field to do ministry and explore. PVT is an incredible space where reconciliation and healing happens between racers and parents. It is such a sweet time for parents to just be able to see where their racers have been and what the Lord is doing in them. My parents actually get to come as well, which is the biggest blessing. (I’m sure you’ll be hearing all the travel and parent stories in the sermon next month.)

Thank you so much for all the prayer! Please continue to pray over Gap H. We have a very full schedule and at this point in the schedule it has been hard not to get burnt out. We have had a couple racers leave due to sickness and other reasons. Would love prayer for encouragement and endurance as we finish out this last month in Jefferies Bay and head off into our next country. And please be praying over the parent vision trip that everyone would get here safely and that racers would have good quality time with their parents.

This week Hannah, Clayton and I are about 2 hours away from the squad getting about 5 days to just rest and sabbath. We have been here for 2 days already and its been so so filling. I am learning a lot being in this place of leading and thankful to be in the place that I am. Please reach out I would love to talk and tell more stories about everything so far.

much Love!
