hey hey!
We leave for Guatemala today!! What a crazy thing I get to step into! The Lord has been so kind to lead me in a full circle of this journey that he started me on with Him! Guatemala holds so many sweet memories and people that I deeply love!
I want to announce something HUGE! I AM STAYING ALL 9 MONTHS!! I was asked to lead this squad throughout the duration of the race & I SAID YES. What does this mean you ask? Well, I have the privilege of not only traveling with the squad to Guatemala, but also to Johannesburg, Africa and Romania. I will continue to disciple and encourage them on this journey that they have said yes to.
Not only was there a lot of excitement in saying yes to this, but also a lot of wrestling with the Lord on what this would look like. It has been a process of breaking down my idea of success and the meaning of what it looks like to fully place my future in the hope of the Lord.
The Lord has been teaching me a lot about what it looks like to hold both responsibility and fun. He is pushing me into new levels of mental and physical dependance! It has been a process of learning what it looks like to walk in steadiness!
“Trust [rely on and have confidence] in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed [securely] on His faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, And He will give you the desires and petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him also and He will do it. He will make your righteousness [your pursuit of right standing with God] like the light, And your judgment like [the shining of] the noonday [sun]. Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; Do not fret (whine, agonize) because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.”

This has been a psalms that has just been a good reminder for me to hold on to as i transition into this somewhat unexpected change of plans!
What does it look like to support me in this?
Prayer! I would love prayer for boldness and a steadfast obedience to the Lord as I lead this squad, and for the squad to continue to press into hard things as they learn what it looks like to live a life for the Lord. Continued prayer for health and safety as we travel as well! I am also sending out prayer cards, send me your address if you would like one !!
